Suffering from Perfectmomitis?....

post-Mother's Day. You know, from hearing all about the perfect mom's at church (my husband grossly misrepresented my superior mothering qualities in his talk yesterday, not to say he is a liar, he is just genuinely delusional), and children singing sweetly about their mother spending the day smiling and singing so softly and such, and all the Mother's Day ads showing glowing moms in twin-sets cuddling their children in fields of daffodils and stuff like that? Feeling a tad inadequate perhaps?

I was reading this last night and found myself literally snorting out loud. Nothing to make you feel like a better mom then a bunch of other moms confessing their most shameful mothering secrets. It's good for the soul. Be sure to read all the reader's responses.

I'm reading: Suffering from Perfectmomitis?....Tweet this!

I love that she makes the kid she likes least at the end of the day do the cat litter. LOL I giggled at that. And I JUST used my baby's birthday gift card on a car seat at Target. I can't feel bad...he raked in clothes for his birthday and he's got so many toys handed down, I couldn't fathom buying anymore. I guess I could have bought him special food just for him...he's become a pig. Oh well, he'll be thankful I strapped him into a seat properly when he's older. Right?

Can't we just stay delusional a little longer?

Thanks for sharing that post, I really needed that. After my beautiful Mother's Day, my toddler dissolved into a puddle of snot and tears as his top molars started to come in yesterday, so I was feeling pretty darn unperfect yesterday.

I may be mistaken, but it seems like Aaron is always asked to speak on Mother's Day? Okay, maybe not "always" but it seems like this wasn't the first time???

Not always Amz but he has a few times, I believe. One or the other of us always seem to speak on Easter Sunday though.
